Qualifications/Requirements

  • Willing to work different shifts as dictated by the needs of the business
  • Quality workmanship, attention to detail, and organized
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Knowledgeable in heavy equipment
  • Knowledge of all safety practices
  • Knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use
  • General knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify problems and find solutions or seek advice from the supervisor
  • Mechanically inclined to complete troubleshooting and repair tasks

Job Description

  • Repair, troubleshooting, and testing of all types of hydraulic cylinders
  • Performs area and equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • Maintain proper documentation, records, and reporting practices
  • Work closely and keep in regular communication with Management
  • Operate hone, torque bench, impacts, and press. Some machining experience would be an asset.
  • Dismantle equipment using hand tools and power tools in order to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
  • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Shop and yard cleanup as needed
