We have a current opening for: HYDRAULIC MECHANIC

Qualifications/Requirements

Willing to work different shifts as dictated by the needs of the business
Quality workmanship, attention to detail and organized
Ability to work well on your own as well as part of a team
Knowledgeable in heavy equipment
Knowledge of all safety practices
Knowledge of all tools and equipment and their use
General knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems
Problem solving and analytical skills to identify problems and find a solution, or seek advice from the supervisor
Mechanically inclined to complete troubleshooting and repair tasks

Job Description

Repair, troubleshooting and testing of all types of hydraulic cylinders
Performs area and equipment maintenance and cleaning
Maintain proper documentation, records and reporting practices
Work closely and keep in regular communication with Management
Operate hone, torque bench, impacts and press. Some machining experience would be an asset.
Dismantle equipment, using hand tools and power tools, in order to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.
Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Shop and yard clean up as needed
